Jeremy,

Thanks for making Techozoic Theme and sharing it. It is a great theme and I like it a lot. I am using Techozoic Fluid 1.8.3 sidebar-content-sidebar layout in WordPress 2.9.2. I need your help in achieving the following:

1- Fix the right sidebar widget area which overlaps/covers-up the grey frame on the right side of the body. (I create the right sidebar content by using widgets in WordPress.)

2- Change the color and font of the blog description in the header-image box. Also remove the line above the blog description.

3- Show sub-menu items on hover – on its parent page. Do not display “page below current” widget on the right sidebar

4- Add pages (e.g. sitemap, theme credits, plugin credits, etc.) as links at the bottom of the website, without having these pages show in the top navigation tab/bar.

Thanks in advance for your help, Soni

1. Most of the time it's because a widget's width is too big for the sidebar. You'll need to set the width's yourself in the control panel. Start out with a value of 50% for the content and 25% for the sidebars and keep adjusting until you get the widest content without the widgets overlapping the side.
2. The tagline has a class of .description so you can change your css according to that. If you add this code to the custom css box in the techozoic options page. Then you can play with the values until you get the desired affect.

.description{
font-size: 1.2em;
color: #000;
border: none;
}

3. In my new version of Techozoic I have created a dropdown nav menu type. It should be ready in a few days.
4. Also in the new version of Techozoic I have an exclude pages from navigation section where you chose which pages not to show in the standard navigation, then you can edit the footer.php and add the links there.

Jeremy,

Thanks for your quick reply and solutions. I will keep checking WP for the newest release of your theme.

Meanwhile, I would like to learn the coding that goes with excluding pages form navigation section (where I can choose pages not to show up in the standard navigation) and add links in footer/sidebar areas. Please show me how.

Thanks, Soni

To exclude pages you'll need to edit whichever nav type you've chosen there is a file in the nav subfolder that has the same name. In the file you see a call to the wp_list_pages function you'll need to edit it to look like this.

wp_list_pages("title_li=&exclude=1,2,3&depth=1");

Where 1,2,3 is a comma delimited list of page ids. Then for the footer you'll need to add this code to the footer.php file

wp_list_pages("title_li=&include=1,2,3&depth=1");

where 1,2,3 is a comma delimited list of page ids that you would like to include in the list.

I'm also having trouble with the right side border cutting out. I reduced content to 50% and sidebars to 25% as suggested, but the right side border is still cut out. I also removed all widgets from the right sidebar using the WP Appearances | Widgets control, but three uninvited widgets showed up nevertheless on the page in the right sidebar. No clue where they came from.

Thanks for any assistance you could provide.

Yours is a different issue when you were adding the header flash file since the directions where with a different version there is a extra closing div tag. If you look in the header.php directly beneath your flash file remove one of the closing

</div>

tags and you should be good to go.

Resolved! Thank you.
I wondered about that hanging div tag.
It's looking better and better.
