OK, so this is most likely a cockpit problem. But, for the life of me I can not see where I changed the click behavior of the header.

At one time one could click on the title of the site, which overlays the header image, and be taken to the home page. Now, that doesn’t work. Don’t even get the pointer change to a finger.

I don’t know what I did, but I would like to get it back. Anyone know where that choice lives?

I’m re-posting this in the hope that someone will have an idea on solving this. Somehow I’ve lost the click-a-ability on the header.

any ideas…

I can help if you could post the code contained in your header.php file.
I need the code after

<div id="headerimg">

until the first closing

Bart, I’ve looked but I can’t really seem to figure out why your having the problem. Have you tried disabling your copy protection plugin and seeing. Another thing might be try disabling the cufon font and seeing if you can click then. When I get some time, I’ll log in and see if I can see any problem.

Disabling the copy protection does not fix it. The cufon font has been there since the beginning, but pulling it from the header title does not fix this. I did not try disabling both. When I get a chance I’ll post the code section that Rey requested.

Hi Rey,
sorry this has taken so long to put up, life has a way of getting in the way.

<div id="headerimgwrap">
<div id="headerimg">
<?php if(is_single() || is_page()) {
echo "<span class="blog_title">";
} else {
echo "<h1 class="blog_title">";
if ( is_single() & $tech[‘blog_title_text’] == "Single Post Title") { ?>
<a><?php wp_title(”,true,”); ?></a><?php
} else { ?>
<a href="<?php echo home_url(); ?>/"><?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?></a>
if(is_single() || is_page()) {
echo "</span>";
} else {
echo "</h1>";
if ( is_single() & $tech[‘blog_title_text’] == "Single Post Title") {
$description = "<a href="" . home_url() . "">" . get_bloginfo(‘name’) . "</a>"; }
else {
$description = get_bloginfo(‘description’);
if (!empty ($description)) { ?>
<span class="description"><?php echo $description; ?></span>
} ?>
</div><!–end headerimg–>
</div><!–end headerimgwrap–>

Have you tried the new version. I changed the header code slighlty, maybe it fixed the problem. Have you installed any other plugins recently, before you noticed the problem.

I don’t actually know when the ‘click on header’ problem came up. It may have been there for a while before I noticed it, so the trick of what did you change, just before the problem appeared won’t work. Also, in my spare time, I am always tweaking this or that to see how it affects the site.

However, having said that, the only major change recently was the addition of Quick Cache, in an effort to get my load times up. It perhaps helped by a small margin. (I’m still not happy with the load times.)

Later today (5/3) I will update TF from 1.9.3 to 1.9.4, and see what that does. This is not a big issues, but it should work none the less.

OK, so I did the TF update. And, it fixed the click on header issue.

However, it also deleted all the header images that I had loaded, and replaced them with the stock jpgs from:

So I deleted them from there, thinking that the old problem of any change and save to settings would reinstall them.

Then I uploaded (again) my header pixs to:

Since I have some altered code (tags at bottom on single page, and others) I’ll have to walk through the site and see what else may have happened. I’ll poke around later today when I get some time, and post if I find a problem.

I can see I am going to have to keep a log of any changes I make in any PHP file, since the tags are now at the top on the single page.

Jeremy, is there a change log on TF, that lists what files have been changed, so I know where to go and reedit my custom bits?

THEN::: there is this problem: will the old edits done in 1.9.3 work in 1.9.4? Thank god (and you) for the forum, as it currently is my only history of custom bits.

NB: moved issues on:
** Tag placement on single post page
** HOME menu item to their own threads

So click on header is back

see the following threads:

Typo in css-build.php

HOME menu item

There is a relationship in these somewhere.

I replied in the other thread about the issue.

All fixed …
Thanks Jeremy…
