If you want to disable it on all the Pages and not Single Posts view you can add this to the custom css box. This will effectively disable the title from a regular browser but will still show to search engine robots, important for SEO to have a title for the post/page.

.page #content h2 {
display:none
}

Hi Jeremy,

Been using this code and it works well, except it takes out all header 2’s
Is there anyway it can just take out the page title and leave the rest there?

Thanks
Cheers
Heather

In the next version 1.8.7 you’ll be able to disable the header h2 with this code.

.page_title{
display:none;
}

I had neglected to give the titles a class until 1.8.7, I should be able to get this released in the next couple days. You could add this code to the page.php file yourself and be able to use the above code until I get it release.

<h2>
<?php wp_title(”, display); ?>
</h2>

Change it to this and you can then add the first code to your custom css box.

<h2 class="post_title">
<?php wp_title(”, display); ?>
</h2>

The first code would go in the custom css box. Then on the page.php file you’ll need to look for this code at the top of the file.

<?php if (strlen(wp_title(”, false))>0) {
?> <h2>
<?php wp_title(”, display);
?> </h2>
<?php }

And change it to this.

<?php if (strlen(wp_title(”, false))>0) {
?> <h2 class="post_title">
<?php wp_title(”, display);
?> </h2>
<?php }

I’m also about to submit 1.8.7 for approval today, so it should be available in a few more days.
