I’m trying to nail down some recurring errors on my site. Here is one that I have little clue about:
[05-Dec-2013 05:09:51 America/Denver] PHP Fatal error: Interface ‘SimplePie_Cache_Base’ not found in /homex/xxxxxxxx/public_html/main/wp-includes/SimplePie/Cache/File.php on line 52
[05-Dec-2013 08:03:18 America/Denver] PHP Fatal error: Interface ‘SimplePie_Cache_Base’ not found in /homex/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/main/wp-includes/SimplePie/Cache/Memcache.php on line 59
SimplePie according to SimplePie.org is an RSS feed engine. But, I not sure how it got on my site, that is: is it part of WP or part of Techozoic. It could even be part of a long ago plugin that has since been deleted but did not clean up after itself.
In the folder wp-includes there is this php file: class-simplepie.php. It is loading all kinds of class definitions to enable SimplePie.
I am using the Techozoic RSS widget in a sidebar (does it use SimplePie?).
So I’m not sure how to fix this: I could just delete all the SimplePie stuff, and possibly break something, or I could fix why the Cache-Base is not found. Either way I have no clue.
