It’s possible this is just my install, but when I upgraded to 2.0.4 last night, my fonts all broke. Everything reverted to Arial. When I go to switch it to another and save, it returns to the page with the proper settings saved message, but the font type switches back to Arial regardless what I chose. I do have a google font enabled, in case that’s part of the problem, but the bug manifests even on the other default fonts when saved.

edit: Oh, before I forget, I can change other settings, and those save properly, and I can at least change the font color, and those save as well. It appears to literally be the font type that’s not saving properly.

I’m seeing the problem as well. It looks like it’s problem with the options panel framework that I just updated to the latest version. I’ll have to investigate.

So today (4/14/2012) I took the plunge, and updated WP to 3.3.1 and Tech to 2.0.4

I can confirm this bug. I can change the color, and the style (italic, normal, etc) but but the google fonts don’t stick, and even the default fonts (Ariel, Palatino, etc.) don’t stick.

Hi Jeremy,

I just saw that you updated Tech to 2.0.5 but fonts are still broken. Now the px size doesn’t seem to stick. it always reverts back to 9px.

Also, for my header I have a google font listed (and enabled), and it now shows in the selection box, but it doesn’t seem to work, the font is still Arial.

It’s all part of the same problem, I’m doing much more testing to see what else might have broken. Look for 2.0.6 soon, thanks for bearing with me.

Hey… no sweat. It is a terrific theme, and you offer top notch support.

I am now on a serious jag to document my custom changes. I’ll have more issues I’m sure. BUT the font bug takes top priority.

Good hunting…!

H O O R A Y ! ! !

Techozoic Fluid v 2.0.6 … the fonts work.

At the risk of raining on the parade…
It appears that the Techozoic Font Size widget now effects only:

Older / Newer Entries nav text

Not a big one, I’ll leave it up on the top of the right sidebar if you want to see it in action. I’ll take it down in a day or two.

BUT: There is an issue between the top page and the single page post.

I have fonts and attributes set, and in:

Firefox: the fonts hold between top and single page post and static pages.

IE 8: Top page shows set fonts but, the post single page shows San Serif block probably Ariel as do the static pages

Chrome: acts like IE 8

Safari 5.0.2 acts like IE 8

IE 9 (32bit) acts like IE 8

IE 9 (64bit) acts like IE 8

So to sum up, only Firefox shows the set fonts on the top page, the post single page, and static pages. All the other browsers I listed only show set fonts on the top page. Single post page, and pages, all go back to default ariel.

This is, for what it is worth, on both WinXP pro, and Win7 Ultimate. These are the only browsers I have loaded on my computers.

On my Android phone I checked the following browsers:

The default Android browser shows set fonts on all pages

The Dolphin HD browser shows set fonts on all pages

Perhaps there is someone out there in the iDevice world that could check on their iThings.

see it all in action here:

I now have egg on my face. I did the 2.0.6 update and normally work in Firefox, and it showed the correct fonts on every page. I then tested the other browsers, and saw what I thought were some issues. But, then on a whim, I went and cleared the server cache. It serves up static versions of the pages. And, then lo…
all browser version now show correct fonts on all pages….

The lesson is that when one is logged on as WP admin, one is never served the cached page. It always shows the logged on admin a freshly generated page. When I tried the other browsers, I didn’t log in. I hit the site as public viewer and I was then served the cached version with the old fonts….

So, my apologies to Jeremy… This bug is squashed.

Barb most o what you said went right over my head anyway, but thanks for the heads up. It’s working perfectly on my end. BTW, did you use the CSS box in the previous version? My codes are no longer working in the update version.

I haven’t seen any issue with the css not saving. Looking at your site it looks like the css is still being outputted. I did see a problem with footer text not saving but this should also be fixed in 2.0.6. Thanks for bearing with me for this last couple updates.
