I want to remove the search box that is built into the header space. It is appearing as a rectangle box in my header. How can I do this?
see it here: http://www.dreamadventures.net/blog

Thanks!

The reason it’s appearing as just a box is because you have the accent color and the link color set the same. So the text that says Search: Type and Enter isn’t visible. If you want to keep the search box you’ll need to change either the link color or the accent color to a different color.

If you just want the box removed altogether you’ll need to add this to the custom css in the options page.

#search {
display:none;
}

Thanks for the code for removing the search box from the header area; it overlapped my header graphics and I wanted to get rid of it. It took me a little while to figure out where to put the code snippet but by trial and error I got it. Thanks for the very good set of admin options and controls for this theme. When I get further into it and decide to keep it I will make a donation. 🙂

Glad you got it figured out. I will be adding an option for search box position as it seems it is a common question. I appreciate any and all donations.
Thank you for your support of my theme, and development.
