WordPress has the ability to schedule the publishing of post at some point in the future. But, I was unable to find in the WP codex a clear statement as to which clock WP uses. By that I mean:
* My time where I’m writing from (could be anywhere in the world, and different if I travel)
* The server’s clock, where ever the actual box is sitting
* UTC or commonly called GMT
* or some other clock…
It is based off the server’s clock. You can set the time zone in the dashboard under the General Settings page. Depending on your server setup you might be able to choose your correct time zone from there or maybe use one of the manual offsets near the bottom of the list. After updating and saving the option it should display the current local server time next to the drop down where you can verify the time.
