Hi, I want a ‘home’ button on my navigation menu. The only way I have found to add buttons to the navigation menu is to add a new page. But I can’t add a ‘home’ page, can I? That’s the main page. I’m a little confused as to how to do this. Also, I’m wondering if this theme comes with a widget to allow subscribing by email. Haven’t found one, but it seems to have everything else. If not, any recommendations? I’ve downloaded the Subscribe2 plugin. Thanks! |

I’ve been phasing out page based menus in favor of the menu system builtin WordPress. This youtube video seems to describe the process of creating the menu: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybow7FytaKw Make sure under the Nav tab of techozoic settings the nav menu type is set to WP 3 menu. This will allow the new menu you’ll be creating to be applied. I personally use feedburner’s subscribe by email function. Once activated it will give you some simple html that can be inserted into a simple text widget in the sidebar. |

Thanks again! I saw this message second, so disregard any questions about the email subscription box in my other message. I’m now looking into feedburner plugins — that’s exactly what I was looking for. The video is awesome, just what I needed. I even found another video that showed adding the Home button. I’m gonna have to look around for more of these videos! And you were right — in Firefox, the RSS button functioned properly. Is there something I can do for Chrome users? Awesome. Thank you. |
