I am a convert from Blogger and am used to inserting my meta tags directly into the HTML. I am not familiar with the CSS and HTML differences, and not sure where to insert my meta tags. Any advice would be much appreciated.

A quick search turned up this plugin. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/meta-tag-manager/ Which should allow you to manage your meta tags.
