Well if the EU (European Union) has their way then you could have Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari installed by default on a newly purchased PC. The EU claims Microsoft is hurting the browser competitors by bundling Internet Explorer with Windows; you think? The other option is to force a hearing on the matter. Which way do you think Microsoft will go?

isn’t apple also bundling Safari with OS X or is it just the fact, that Internet Explorer won’t run on OS other than Windows

True but I think the problem is that is so tightly integrated with windows that it can’t be removed.
